For sale here is a pre-fire H.L. Leonard Model 4099 Tournament bamboo rod - 8' 3/2 for a DT5 line. Listed and actual weight of 4 1/2 oz. The rod is in excellent and mostly original condition. The stripping guide and ferrule/guide on the butt have both been re-wrapped as well as the entire mid section. The replacement wraps are remarkably close to the originals. All sections are full length and straight. Very nice medium fast action, quicker than the very popular 50DF models. The ferrules are 10/64 and 17/64 with an excellent tight fit. Reverse twist snake guides. Generously swelled butt. The cigar grip, 5 3/4" in length has been cleaned and is very slightly ridged. Nickel silver cap and ring reel seat over a cork spacer. The seat remains in excellent condition void of any major scratches or dents. The original silks show their age but all guides remain firmly attached. Original nickel silver ferrule plugs are included as well as the original bag with wonderfully preserved hang tag with William Mills markings. The rod tube has Leonard patent markings but I am not certain whether or not it is original.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
