For sale here is a pre-fire H.L. Leonard Model 4099 Tournament bamboo rod - 8' 3/2 for a DT5 line. A very desirable Leonard taper. The rod is in excellent restored condition. All sections are full length and straight.
Straw-colored blonde cane with olive wraps and Chinese red tipping. Oxidized guides. Agate stripping guide. Ring hook keeper. Nickel silver checks. Classic cigar grip measuring 6" with mild soiling. Nickel silver cap and ring reel set over a mortised butternut spacer. The seat remains in excellent condition void of any major scratches or dents. The ferrules are size 10/64 and 15/64 with an excellent fit. The rod weighs an even 4 oz. with a smooth and crisp medium-fast action. Original bag and a Payne tube I believe. The bag has a small hole in the bottom stitching where the butt section resides.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt.
