Kenney, Larry - 8'3 5wt Fiberglass Rod

For sale here is a Larry Kenney fiberglass rod, finished by Matt Leiderman. 8'3" for a 5 weight line. Three-piece construction. The rod is in near mint condition. Grayish, clay colored blank, rust orange wraps with fine black tipping. Blued guides as well as all other hardware on the rod. Agate stripping guide. Spigot ferrules. The female ferrules feature a knurled nickel silver band around them to aid in strength of the ferrules and prevent cracking. The fit is excellent. Knurled nickel-silver winding check. Modified full-wells grip with a ring of burled cork near the top to accent the grip. Only the slightest of soiling is present on the grip. Cap and ring reel seat with a beautiful mortised spalted maple spacer with a cork/spalted maple butt cap. Rod weighs 3 5/8 oz. The rod has a lovely action that Larry Kenney is known for. Medium-fast - authoritative yet delicate. A true all-around trout rod. Includes original bag and tube.
