Kabuto / Graywolf Fiberglass Rod 8' 3wt

For sale here is a Kabuto fiberglass rod - 8' 3wt 3 pc. Serial no. 542. Built in 2016. The rod is in mint condition and was finished out beautifully by Shane Gray at Graywolf Rods. The protective shrinkwrap is still in place over the grip. The unsanded glass rod is a translucent white color. Amber colored wraps with very fine dark cinnamon tipping. The ferrule wraps feature a dark cinnamon band down the middle. The handsome agate stripping guide is a pale yellow with a dark band of brown. Bright guides. The rod has spigot ferrules with a perfect fit. There is a 1/4" gap between section to account for wear over time. Lightly blued nickel silver winding check, the check has a vintage rope pattern. The reverse half wells grip is not the average design, as there is a more modern and dramatic flow to the lines, quite attractive. Nickel silver cap and ring reel seat with knurled rope edges with a gorgeous, highly figured, burled spacer. Words can't provide justice regarding the beauty of the wood spacer. The progressive medium fast action is crisp and smooth, capable of delicate casts to spooky fish. The rod weighs 3 5/8 oz. This is an outstanding small-medium water rod ensuring enjoyment from even the smallest of trout, while the appearance will set you apart from the crowd. Includes original Graywolf bag and aluminum tube with fine brass fittings.
