For sale here we have a Ted Simroe 7' 3/2 3wt bamboo rod. Model number 3703. Serial no. 866, made in 2016. The rod is in near mint condition with the plastic shrinkwrap still on the grip. However, there are a few micro-abrasions in the varnish on the butt section. All sections are full length and straight. Ted Simroe is, of course, a legendary rod builder having worked with the H.L. Leonard Rod Company in the 1960's and 1970's.
Handsome light straw-colored cane with golden wraps and cinnamon tipping. Bright guides, ferrules and hardware. Ring hook keeper. The cigar grip has a rather straight Garrison-like taper and measures 5 1/8" in length. Elegant nickel silver cap and ring reel seat over a gorgeous mortised wood spacer. The Swiss-style ferrules are size 8/64 and 13/64 with a perfect fit. The rod weighs 3.05 oz. The action is classic Simroe medium and incredibly smooth.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt.
