A nice RL Winston bamboo fly rod, 7'6", 2-piece, 2-tip built for a #4 line. Serial #2553. Glenn Bracket era rod. Pleasing medium fast action. Excellent, very lightly used condition, it certainly does not appear to have been fished much. Medium wheatstraw cane done in a three up node pattern construction. Very nice varnish throughout, with just one tiny cosmetic blemish on the varnish on the female ferrule which came from use. Honey colored wraps including the standard Winston overwrap on the ferrules with black tipping at the keeper, ferrules, and tip tops. Bronzed stripping guide and snakes with chrome tip tops. Medium lightly shaped cigar grip with an ever-so-slight flair at the heel, and the consignor noted to me that this grip was recently replaced by Glenn himself. The ferrule fits are good and the rod is nice and straight. Aluminum screwlock downlocking slide band seat with a pocket cap which has the RL Winston logo engraved on the bottom. The rod packs into a cream colored bag with the Winston logo, and a green crackle paint aluminum tube with brass fittings.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
