For sale here is a 2007 Limited Edition Orvis Mitey Mite bamboo rod. 5 feet in length for a 5 weight line. The rod weighs a mere 2.2 oz. The rod is in near mint condition with with original bag and leather tube. There are a couple of very minor handling marks on the hardware. The leather tube also has some very minor blemishes. Beautiful hand-engraving on the nickel silver hardware. All sections are full-length and straight. Ferrule fit is perfect. Ferrule size 12/64. 100% bluing remains on the ferrules and tip tops. Serial number 90392. Orvis' first run of 49 rods (numbered "X of 49") of this limited edition Mitey Mite rod was priced at $3500 each and sold out within two weeks. They then decided to make more due to the high initial demand and this is one from that batch, which were all serial numbered.

A special edition, bamboo fly rod crafted by hand in our Manchester, Vermont, bamboo fly rod shop. This special edition Mitey Mite is made to the exact taper specifications of the original, first sold in Orvis catalogs more than 30 years ago. Plus, its hardware is upgraded with a smartly blued and hand-engraved nickel-silver sliding reel seat band which embellishes the Wes Jordan-model rods. Just 5 feet long, this 5-weight weighs in at a mere 2.2 ounces. But it possesses the same absolutely amazing crisp power as the original. It's perfect for delicate casts with tiny flies on small streams. Comes in its own special Wes Jordan-style tube with saddle-stitched russet leather and heavy-gauge aluminum protective liner. Includes an extra tip. Made in USA.

Shipping Information
- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
