For sale here is a hollow-built Chris Carlin hex bamboo rod - 8'6" 3/2 for an 8 weight line. Steelhead Model St8683h. Serial no. 1705. The rod is in mint condition. All sections are full length and straight.
Mildly tempered cane with light brown wraps and gold tipping (Payne style). Oxidized guides. Mirror matched tips. High gloss spar varnish finish. Agate stripping guide. Garrison-style hook keeper. E.C. Powell-style full wells grip 6 1/2' in length. Bright aluminum down-locking reel seat over a cedar spacer with an oxidized nickel silver butt cap. The rod has a luxurious appearance without being to audacious or showy, reminiscent of the golden age of bamboo. The ferrules are size 13/64 and 19/64 with a perfect fit. The rod weighs in at 5.80 oz. The action is on the faster side of medium-fast. Includes the original bag and labeled tube.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items.
