Bruce & Walker - Salmon 10'6 7-9wt Hexagraph Rod

For sale here is a rather rare Bruce & Walker 10'6" 3/1 Salmon and Sea Trout rod. Made in England. Marked for a 7-8-9 weight line. The rod is in very good condition though it does display a fair amount of superficial scratches and wear throughout the rod. All sections are full length. The mid section was made 3/4" shorter than the butt section and the tip section was made 2 1/2" shorter than the butt section.

The rod features a dark green hexagonal blank with magenta wraps. The female ferrules are wrapped in black at the edge. Bright guides. U-shaped hook-keeper. The decal on the butt remains intact. The half-wells grip is 7 5/8" in length with moderate soiling. Black anodized aluminum up-locking reel seat over a mortised walnut spacer. Light wear to the seat hardware. There is a fine crack down the length of the spacer though this shouldn't affect the use of the rod. The cork fighting butt measures 2" in length. The spigot ferrules fit together nice and tight as they should with a 1/4" gap to allow for wear over time. The rod weighs 5.85 oz. The rod has a bamboo-like medium fast action with plenty of power in the butt. Includes the original red velvet bag.
