For sale here is a Gary Lacey made third generation Granger DeLuxe Model 8040 - 8' 3/2 for a 5wt line. The rod is in near mint condition. Browntone cane, jade and black jasper silks with four bands of goldenrod tipping. Goldenrod at the winding check. Signature wrap like the guide wraps. Blued guides. The tip-tops are similar to early 20th century design, circular as opposed to the pear-shaped perfection tip-tops later used. Custom Granger replica ferrules with witness marks. The fit is nice and tight as it should be. Nickel silver winding check. Western-style grip in excellent shape with very little soiling. Nickel-silver sliding band reel seat that is a replica of the early Granger seats. Rod weighs 5.20 oz, a little heftier compared to the typical 8040 Model around 4 1/2 oz. that is better suited for a DT4 line. The ferrules are 15/64 and 10/64. The action is medium-fast. Includes canvas bag and original tube. The tube design was inspired by the original Granger Registered tube. Black with a silver aluminum label.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
