Steffen Bros. 8'3 6-7wt Fiberglass Fly Rod

For sale here we have a fly rod from the highly regarded Steffen Bros. - 8'3" 6-7wt 3 pc. fiberglass fly rod. Serial no. A111111. The rod is in excellent condition. Steffen Bros.' rods are often touted as some of the best casting rods coming out today; bamboo, glass, or otherwise. 

The rod features an unsanded glass blank in the reddish-rust color characteristic of Steffen Bros. Bright guides, ceramic stripping guide. Burgundy wraps that match well yet contrast the blank for a subdued look. There is a band of marked thread at the 14" and 18" mark to help curb the the tales of 20" fish. The rod information is written in white on the butt section. U-shaped hook-keeper. Full-wells grip 7" in length with light soiling. A very fine, lightly blued, nickel-silver down-locking reel seat with handsome knurling and a stunning burlwood spacer. Some light scuffs on the buttcap. Spigot ferrules that transfer motion and energy more efficiently for a smoother cast. The fit is perfect. White witness marks. The action is quite nice - smooth and quick on the faster side of medium-fast. This rod is well suited for large trout, bass, carp, or any other hefty species. The rod weighs 3 1/2 oz.
