For sale here is a rod built by Ted Simroe, legendary rod builder with the H.L. Leonard Rod Company. Model number 3805 -- 8' 3/2 5wt. Serial no. 741. The rod is in excellent+ original condition. All sections are full length and straight. Straw colored blonde cane. Rich honey colored wraps with black tipping. Bright guides. Ring hook-keeper. The tips are marked one and two for convenience. Bright nickel silver checks. Classic, cigar-style grip 6" in length. The cork is soiled but free of any defects. Nickel silver cap and ring reel seat with a fine mortised walnut spacer. The Swiss-style ferrules are size 9/64 and 15/64, the fit is perfect. The rod weighs in at 4 1/2 oz. The action is on the medium side of medium-fast, a bit faster than most of Simroe's rods. A solid all-around trout rod with the length and action to adapt to almost any situation. Includes original tan bag with leather tab and tube with fine brass fittings. - We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt.
