This is not a 3M rod, rather made while Bill Phillipson still owned the company. The rod features a rust colored blank with burgundy wraps and gold tipping in a spiral pattern. Bright double loop snake guides. The label on the butt section remains bold and free of any defect. The nickel silver swiss-style ferrules fit perfectly. Rust colored aluminum, cone-shaped winding check. Ritz style grip with moderate soiling. Rust colored, anodized aluminum down-locking reel seat. There is a bit of light wear around the rim and center of the butt cap. The rod weighs 4 oz. The action is a swift medium-fast with plenty of power, yet the delicacy required for smaller (#16-20) dries.
