For sale here is a Pflueger "King Bee" - 9'6" 7wt 3/2 bamboo rod. The rod is in very good++ original condition. The only issues preventing it from an excellent condition are that both female ferrules are clicking. This can easily be fixed though. There are also slight fishing sets in both tips. Honey toned cane with black and white jasper silks though the aging of the varnish has made them more of a gold and black. Light purple tipping. Varnish is in excellent shape. Lovely swelled butt. The fully intact script is written in yellow, reminiscent of Edwards rods. Full Wells grip is lightly soiled. No ridging or major chips. Aluminum down-locking reel seat with a black bakelite spacer. The Pflueger "Bulldog" impression appears on the bakelite spacer. Ferrule sizes 18/64 and 11/64, the fit is great. The action of the rod is medium fast, reflective of the style of the day. Weight 6.15 oz. Rod comes in a replacement aluminum tube and Heddon bag made of brown velvet with burgundy edges. It's quite the bag.
This rod is a must have for the Pflueger collector, it would look very nice as a display piece or fish it as a light salmon or bass rod. The King Bee was the top of the line rod for Pflueger. Most likely made by Montague, it rivaled their best rods.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt.
