For sale here is an impregnated Orvis Wes Jordan 8' 2/2 7wt bamboo rod. Serial no. 78410, made in 1976. The rod is in excellent original condition. The rod was very well cared for. All sections are full length with very slight sets in both tips.
Transparent caramel colored wraps. The varnish on the wraps remains in excellent condition. Bright guides. The script is as clean and bold as the day it was written. Along with the rod information, the original owner's name is also written. bronzed, ring hook keeper. Aluminum winding check. Cigar-style grip 6 1/2" in length with light soiling and some minor ridging. The grip features thumb and palm indentations. Aluminum down-locking reel seat over a lightly varnished walnut spacer. The original owner's name is stamped into the bottom of the butt cap. The blued step-down ferrules are size 13/64 with a great fit. The rod weighs 4.45 oz. Medium-fast action for a 7 line though the rod is marked for an 8wt. The butt provides ample power while the limber tip section allows for delicacy and excellent tippet protection. The rod includes the original green bag and leather tube that has developed a very handsome patina from age and use. Don't miss out on this wonderful example of one of the best rods Orvis ever produced.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
