Orvis Far & Fine 7'6 5wt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is a 7'6" 5wt 2/2 impregnated Orvis "Far & Fine" bamboo rod. Many consider this rod the best casting taper of any Orvis rod ever made. This one was made in 1989 or 1990. The rod is in excellent original condition. All sections are full length with no repairs and none needed. One tip has a slight set. Lighter straw colored cane with honey wraps and darker caramel tipping. Original owner's name is scripted on the rod. Bright guides. Ring hook-keeper. Western-style grip with a slender taper towards the nose. Grip is in excellent shape with only light soiling. Up-locking, cap and ring, nickel-silver reel seat with a fine mortised burl wood spacer. Nickel silver butt cap. Bright ferrules size 11/64, the fit is perfect. On the medium side of medium fast action. Rod weighs 3.95 oz. Includes original bag and black aluminum tube with black and gold foil label.

We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.
Other Terms
Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
