For sale here is a E.C. Powell 9' 6wt 2/2 C-Taper bamboo rod. Made by E.C. Powell. Semi-hollowbuilt. The rod is in excellent++ restored condition. All sections are full length and straight. The rod has been masterfully restored and has been fished very sparingly since. Coppery golden wraps with full intermediates, beige and black tipping at the hook-keeper. Bright guides. The patent number script on the butt remains as clean and bold as the day is was written. Brass, ring hook-keeper. The grip is moderately soiled, and also has a few small dents throughout but nothing to cause concern in any way. Bright aluminum, up-locking reel seat with a handsome bakelite spacer. The bright nickel silver ferrules are size 16/64 and feature indented witness marks. The fit is perfect. The rod weighs in at 5.05 oz. The action is medium-fast and this rod is a casting machine.....a DT6 just zips through the guides! The tips are thin and delicate enough to softly present a dry fly to a distant riser. It's easy to see why so many rod makers study the tapers of Powell. Don't miss out on this fantastic rod from one of the most influential makers in bamboo fly rod history. - We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt.
