For sale here is a Linnea Model 885-3 hollow-built bamboo rod by Erik Peterson. 8'8" for a 5 weight line. Made in January of 2009. Here's Erik's description of this model:
Nelson Ishiyama is well known for his abilities as a caster, an angler and as a knowledgeable Bamboo Rod aficionado. The 885-3 NI, (8’ 8” #5, 3 piece, Nelson Ishiyama) was designed at Nelson’s request for stalking the large and wary trout of New Zealand. The rod is powerful and has the ability to reach out for long casts. With its fine tips that taper to .058 thousandths, the 885-3 NI can execute a variety of tasks but performs optimally at the 30’-40’ range.
The rod has been fished sparingly and remains in excellent plus condition. All sections are straight and full length. Darkly flamed cane with olive wraps and fine black tipping at the ferrules, winding check, and tip-tops. Four olive intermediates in the middle of the butt section. Blued hardware throughout. Full wells grip with only very light soiling. Up-locking cap and ring reel seat with a beautiful English Walnut mortised reel seat. Cork/Walnut butt cap. Swiss-style, truncated ferrules size 11/64 and 16/64, the fit is nice and tight as it should be. The rod weighs 3 7/8 ounces. The action is medium-fast progressive and flexes into the grip. The rod has a nice balance of authority and delicacy, a finely built all-around trout rod. Original bag and labeled tube with brass fittings.

Shipping Information
- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

Other Terms
- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
