Simroe, Ted (Rodon) - 7'6 3wt Boron/Graphite Fly Rod

For sale here is a very scarce Ted Simroe (Rodon) 7'6" 2 pc. 3wt boron/graphite fly rod. The rod is in excellent original condition. The rod features a sanded blank with oxblood wraps and bright guides. Ceramic stripping guide. There is a bit of loss to the white script on the butt and the Rodon decal is lifting at the edges. Ring hook keeper. Reverse-half wells grip 5 1/2" in length with only the lightest of soiling. Black aluminum dual sliding ring reel seat over a cork spacer with a black aluminum "button" butt-cap. The spigot ferrule fits nice and tight with a 3/8" gap to allow for wear over time. The rod weighs 2.10 oz. The action is medium-fast; slower than most graphite rods and with much more feel allowing for soft, delicate casts and superior tippet protection. The rod does have a bit of backbone should you need to lay out more line or hook into a bigger fish. A terrific rod from Mr. Simroe for chasing down blue lines on a map. Includes original bag and tube.
