For sale here is a Russ Peak Zenith graphite fly rod - 9' 2pc. 8wt with a listed weight of 4 1/4 oz. Serial no. BG13940. The rod is in near mint condition. The rod actually measures 9'1" fully assembled. It features a sanded natural graphite color blank. Black wraps with a single fine line of rust colored thread accenting the black thread. Bright guides. Ceramic stripping guide. Sleeve over ferrules with a perfect fit. Pale gold witness marks for easy set-up. The script on the rod remains very clean. Along with the usual maker and rod information, the original owner's name is also written in silver. All other information is written in black. U-shaped hook keeper. Cigar-style grip 6 1/2" in length. The cork is free of any defects. Black aluminum uplocking reel seat with double locking rings to ensure a secure fit for your reel. There are a few very minor nicks to the black paint of the reel seat. The seat features a detachable fighting butt made of a hard black foam measuring 2". The actual weight of the rod is 4.60 without the fighting butt and 5.20 oz. with. This rod is intended for big fish and the action reflects that.
