For sale here is a scarce Everett Garrison Model 228 light salmon/steelhead rod - 9 1/8' in length with three sections and two tips. Serial number T-9.125-1 marked on each section. Made in 1950. The rod is in excellent+ refinished condition. All sections are full length and void of any repairs.
The original script was saved in the refinishing process though it is a bit smudged. The original grip measures 7" in length with mild soiling and light ridging throughout. Nickel silver cap and ring reel seat over cork spacer. The seat remains in excellent condition. The Super-Z brand ferrules have 14/64 and 21/64 with a perfect fit. The rod weighs 5.90 oz. Medium-fast action. An eight weight line feels best. Includes the original bag with mid section ferrule plug tethered to the top. Likely a replacement tube but a nice fit.
Don't hesitate on this Garrison rod at this price! Offered at quite the bargain given the incorrect silk colors used in the refinish process. An easy fix for the next owner, but also a helluva classic fishing rod as-is for salmon or steelhead!

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt.
