Art Flick Flies and Book

VFT7581

For sale here is another one-of-a-kind item I am very lucky to have pass through my hands. Ten (10) Art Flick tied flies, as featured in the his New Streamside Guide book. This lot also includes the limited edition book, signed by Art. There were 250 of these books published, but this one is the only known "author's copy" to exist.

Flies include Quill Gordon, Hendrickson, Red Quill, March Brown, Grey Fox, Light Cahill, Grey Fox Variant, Small Dun Variant, Dun Variant, Cream Variant.

This Catskill collectible comes directly from the Cardell family. Art Flick was close friends with Paul Cardell from Birmingham, Michigan. Included in the Cardell's close circle of friends was Paul H. Young, a legendary bamboo rodmaker from Detroit, Michigan, and his wife Martha. Paul Cardell also developed a close friendship with Art Flick, notable Catskill fly-tying legend and author of "Art Flick's New Streamside Guide to Naturals and Their Imitations".
