For sale here is an amazing Hardy Palakona "Gladstone" bamboo rod, handmade in Alnwick, England by Calum Gladstone. This one is 7 feet in length, two sections with two tips for a four weight line. Unused condition - "near mint" overall. Beautifully flamed and varnished cane with striking golden nodes. Light yellow / lime silks with red edges at the hook keeper, stripping guide, ferrules, and tip tops. German silver cap and ring over all-cork reel seat. The rod weighs 3 5/8 oz. The ferrules are size 13/64 and fit together nice and tightly. Very authoritative medium fast action. Comes with an original three-compartment Hardy bag (with ferrule plug pocket) and original cordura Hardy rod tube. The rod was initially delivered in 2006 as a one-tip rod and the owner had Mr. Gladstone make another tip for the rod in 2007. There is a very slight difference in the lengths of the two tips (approx. 1/16"), but the ferrule fit is perfectly tight on both tips. The reason we cannot describe the rod as "mint" is there is a very small chip in the varnish on one of the tips. The rod clearly hasn't seen water, so I am guessing the chip occurred from handling over the years. Don't miss out on this one as there aren't many of these Gladstone's floating around on the secondary market!

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

Other Terms
- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
